My name is Joe Gorton and I'm one of the owners of E-counseling Essentials. Let me tell you a little about us. I began this online therapy practice not just to follow my own dream, but to help others who shared a similar goal as me. I began my internship with a small private practice, that was my original goal in being a therapist. Things took me else where and I ended up managing treatment programs, I currently run two residential and three IOP programs, so I do very little counseling anymore. Although I love what I do, it still wasn't what I started out for.
So this online practice began allowing me to see individual clients on the side. I also knew other therapists who were like me. They wanted to branch out on their own, but needed the support and resources to do so. Some therapists want a full caseload, others want to see people only on certain days. Some therapists want to develop their niche, others are just curious as to what it would be like to step away.
I decided to create a platform that could serve therapists and clients. We build relationships with therapists who work as contractors for us. Working as a contractor allows the therapist to have their independence, utilize tax benefits, and have the flexibility to see who they want to see. While also tethering them to a resource for clinical consulting, billing assistance, marketing consulting and support, and an established name and licensed organization. It became the best of both worlds.
For clients, there are few people we can't serve. The online therapy platform is ideal for the busy professional who can't get away from the office to go into a therapy office once a week. The mother who has difficulty leaving responsibilities from home, adolescents who feel most comfortable in their own space, as well as those in rural areas or whose illnesses make it difficult to leave the house. We encourage our therapists to develop a niche and help them target and market to that population.
To help support the therapist in only working what they want, we only collect on what services you provide. You work as much or as little as you want.
That's a little about us, I'd like to hear more about you. If you're interested in partnering with us, contact us and perhaps we can schedule a time to log on to our video platform together. You can see what it is we use and I can get to know a little bit more about you.
